Privacy Center
As a company, we are concerned about the privacy of our users. We have greatly elaborated our Terms of Use and Privacy Policy to reflect that concern, and continue to revise them periodically to make Tuenti an even safer place. These documents are all created in accordance with Spanish law, with special emphasis on all data protection legislature; we take very seriously users' right to keep their data private, and to maintain their honor, personal privacy and appearance in online media.
Tuenti has put in place a wide array of privacy settings, located in users' account settings, laid out in an intuitive format so that all our users can adjust their privacy settings to those that make them the most comfortable.
Tuenti is intended to be used only by people over the age of fourteen. If we become aware of the existence of a profile of an individual under the age of fourteen, that profile will be erased. Minors between the ages of 14 and 18 are allowed to have profiles, though we recommend that they get their parents' consent. We also set their default privacy settings to the most secure settings so that only their friends are able to contact them.
At Tuenti, we are committed to the highest online safety standards, which is in part why we continue to use an invitation-only registration model, which guards against “anonymous” registrations. Additionally, as another step to protect Tuenti users' personal information, we do not index any user's information in search engines. In the case that safety and privacy concerns arise, they will be dealt with quickly and effectively by teams trained in online safety and data protection.
