- I know someone who lost control over their account or can't access their account. What should I do?
If you know someone that can't access their account, they need to request a new password or get in touch with the Tuenti support team to resolve the problem. Our support team can only help users that have problems with their own accounts, and will not be able to review information sent by a third party.
- Someone has accessed my account pretending to be me. What should I do?

- What is "phishing" and how can I protect myself?
Phishing is when someone steals your account information by posing as an official entity in an email or on a web page. Keep in mind that Tuenti will never ask for your password in an email. To protect against this kind of attack, it is important to never click on suspicious links that you receive (even if your friends send them to you) and to keep your antivirus up to date, running scans periodically to ensure that your computer is not infected.
- How do I make my browser forget my password if I've selected "Remember me on this machine"?
To make your browser stop saving your password, you should:
In Internet Explorer: Click on Tools -> Internet Options -> Content -> Autocomplete -> Erase passwords.
In Mozilla Firefox: Go to Tools -> Options -> Security -> Deselect option Remember passwords for sites.
- How do I choose a strong password?
When choosing a new password for your Tuenti account, never choose the same password that you have for your email account. A strong password should be unique, contain at least eight characters and include both letters and numbers. Additionally, avoid choosing easy-to-guess strings like 123456 or tuenti, and never share your password with anyone.
- What does "Remember me on this computer" mean?
If you check the box "Remember me on this machine", your password will be saved on the computer you are using so that you can access your account without entering your password every time. If you are using a shared computer, do not mark this option.
- What can I do to keep my profile secure?
To keep your account secure, always choose a strong password that no one will guess and never share it with anyone. When terminating your session, always click "Log out" in the upper right-hand corner of your account. Don't enter your password into any page that isn't www.tuenti.com . Don't add any add-ons to your profile or click on any suspicious links that people might send you.
By protecting your password and following these simple guidelines, it is easy to keep your profile secure.
